Always an avid reader, Dr.Julia Fogarty majored in English at the University of Oregon and earned her Masters Degree there as well.  She served as a poetry editor on the Northwest Review while living in Eugene, Oregon and then returned to Michigan where she taught Writing and Literature courses in the English Department at Delta College for over 30 years.  Along the way, she earned her Ph.D. at Michigan State, again in English. She is a founding board member of the Harbor Springs Festival of the Book and continues to be involved in the local Petoskey and Harbor Springs communities.
