ANNOUNCES NEW PRACTITIONER

NANCY-LAUREL PETTERSEN

Nancy-Laurel Pettersen is a practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method® of Somatic Education. In Awareness Through Movement® classes, participants are guided through gentle sequences of movement that translate into comfort and power in daily life.

With a rich background in academia and a passion for movement, Nancy-Laurel turned to the Feldenkrais Method® to reconnect with the physical and spiritual aspects of life. She teaches Awareness Through Movement® both in person and on Zoom. In these classes, participants’ mindful movement awakens the capacity for comfort, balance, and power inherent in their own bodies.

Nancy-Laurel’s teaching focuses on healthy movement for everyday activity and also includes classes for contemplative practices and for musicians.

Overview: The Feldenkrais Method®: Moving with Comfort and Power

Developed by Israeli physicist, engineer, and martial artist Moshe Feldenkrais, Awareness Through Movement® lessons:

  • support recovery from injury
  • engender vibrant aging
  • nurture simple everyday comfort and zest

Both gentle and powerful, these lessons allow unnecessary tension to drop out so the full natural vitality to which we are born can emerge.

Introduction to the Enneagram

The Enneagram is an ancient, yet modern tool to help us reflect on how we view the world, our neighbors and ourselves. It conveys a system of knowledge about nine distinct but interrelated personality types or nine ways of seeing and experiencing the world. This workshop will show attendees how to apply Enneagram lessons for daily living and growth.
